We are Legal Supporters, a transatlantic organisation dedicated to
providing access to legal services and advancing the cause of justice.
Registered in the UK as a company limited by guarantee (Legal Supporters
UK Limited) and in Nigeria as a foundation (The OCA Legal Supporter
Foundation), we are building a global coalition to combat grand
corruption at its roots.
Our primary mission is to dismantle the systems of grand corruption,
with a specific focus on Nigeria. We operate on the firm belief that
while public outrage is vital, “Advocacy for Legislative Change is the
unglamorous, long-term engine of systemic reform.” Our core work
involves the meticulous tasks of research, policy drafting, lobbying,
and coalition-building to dismantle the legal and financial
architectures that enable corruption to thrive, both within Nigeria and
in global financial centres like London.
We recognise that no single entity can win this fight alone. Meaningful,
lasting change requires a united front of diverse expertise and shared
purpose.
